Chad Carter has been the Lead Pastor at Maugansville Church since September of 2015. Before Maugansville Church, pastoring a Church in central PA moved him and his family from the Maugansville area for a few years, but they are now back to the "ville" and Hagerstown area where they were all born and raised! Pastor Chad is very involved in many of the local athletic programs. Whether its coaching football or baseball for North High, or coaching basketball and baseball for other local leagues, Chad's love for people and sports is very clear!
He and his wife, Brenda, have now been married for almost 19 years! They have 2 children, Aiden and Abigail, but the real boss of the family is their french bulldog Moses. When they aren't cheering the kids on in the stands, there's a pretty good chance you're going to catch a "whiff" of something good coming from the smoker at the Carter house!
Chad's passion to see the community of Maugansville come to know and have a relationship with Jesus is clear. Both in the way he leads the Church, and in his interactions and relationships with those who call this town home.

There is a pretty good chance that you will see Pastor Brian either on the sidelines at a football game or in the dugout at the little league. A lover of all things sports, he enjoys coaching and playing whatever season it may be.

Michelle Snodderly has been involved in the music ministry at Maugansville Church for over 30 years and joined the staff as Music Director in 2007. Her passion is to teach children and adults how to effectively communicate who God is and their love for Him through the music they sing. She works alongside the pastors in planning worship services and loves working with children and planning seasonal programs for all the choirs and drama ministry. She also directs the Music and Arts Camp.
When not at work you will find her in her Gardens, where she loves landscape design, garden tours and workshops. She has two adult children Zach and Trevor and 2 beagles "Lily & Lucy".
Ellen has now been on staff at Maugansville Church for over 10 years! In her role as the Administrative Assistant, Ellen is the heartbeat that keeps things moving behind the scenes every week. Originally from California, her time in the military took her all over the country and allowed her to land right here in Hagerstown.
If you ever need someone to sit and put a puzzle together or cross stitch with, Ellen is the one to call! Her other hobby's include watching movies, and just jumping in the car and going for a drive.
Youth Ministry/Media Director
Sean joined the team at Maugansville in February of 2021. An "alum" of the Youth Program, Sean knew by the end of high school that God was calling him into a Youth Ministry role of some kind. As the Youth Worship Leader at another local church from 2018-2021 he was introduced to the always changing world of Church Media and Technology, and loved everything about it. Whether it's producing and broadcasting our weekly livestream, programming the presentation software for in person worship, or helping to lead the congregation in worship, Sean loves all things "tech" and music.
Sean and his wife, Shanell, are celebrating 5 years of marriage this fall and live in Chambersburg with their 2 dogs, Camden and Chloe. Shanell's love for plants has fully infiltrated the inside decor of their home so Sean loves to spend his time outside mowing the lawn, washing the cars and keeping up with their home. If the weather is nice and they've got the time, you will pretty often find them somewhere on a golf course where she drives the cart and he loses the golf balls!
